Following years of advocacy from Leanne and others, the ACT Government has finally introduced legislation to criminalise coercive control. This is an important reform to help protect local people and families at risk of domestic and family violence — so it is essential that we get them right.

Leanne has therefore published a discussion paper which identifies a number of potential issues with the legislation. She is seeking your feedback on whether the legislation may require changes or should be passed as drafted.
